Woodworking Walnut

Walnut is a hard wood which is revered by some woodworkers and without trying to sound too harsh, reviled by others. There may be several reasons for the gap, but much of it could come down to misconceptions about how to work with (or finish) walnut, or perhaps, it may be just a matter of taste, as some people like the dark chocolate brown color finished walnut, while others find it too dark.

Whatever the reasons, the walnut is a very robust, durable hardwood that probably doesn't get the credit it deserves. Wood walnut, learn a few tricks to deal with this hardwood, especially when it comes to applying the finish.
