Get still stained finish

Applying StainWhen I learned about first woodworking, I built a project off SPF work wood and applied a task followed by Cherry of a protector of polyurethane finish. I was so happy the first project that I built another to match the first, using some wood from the rest of the first unit combined with new wood of SPF.

To my great regret, the color of the task did not look the same as it did on the first draft, and it was not even through the project. I learned later that the problem is probably due to having two different wood species used in the second project, given that all wood did not come from the same batch (I might have some spruce mixed with pine trees, for example).

Another common problem when staining is the stain does not uniformly across a piece of wood. Get one same stain finish, learn a method to solve these two problems.
