Designer Martin Davis established the Office of grandfather after he was commissioned by a client to turn two cabinets, built for decades by his grandfather, in a new piece of furniture. Invited to design an Office, Davis pulled apart the old cabinets and used the wood to create a modern and unique, rooted in the spirit of the work original construction. Here, even the old screws, nails and fittings were recovered and cast resin handles to act as both a reminder of the original wardrobe and as a source of memories whenever the client opens a drawer.
